Terms of Use
Last updated: May 31, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between You and Braxton Chatman, sole proprietor doing business as Hellovisa. These Terms govern your access to and use of the Hellovisa mobile application, website at hellovisa.us, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). Braxton Chatman, sole proprietor doing business as Hellovisa (“Hellovisa,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Service.
Hellovisa provides tools to help you organize immigration paperwork, track USCIS case status, store immigration-related documents, and collaborate with family members, preparers, or attorneys in shared workspaces. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Hellovisa is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. No attorney-client relationship is created by your use of the Service. We do not evaluate eligibility, prepare legal strategies, or file applications with USCIS or any government agency on your behalf. You are solely responsible for reviewing all forms, evidence, and submissions before filing.
Operator Information
Hellovisa is a sole proprietorship owned and operated by Braxton Chatman.
All services provided through the Hellovisa platform are offered by Braxton Chatman under the trade name Hellovisa.
Business Name: Hellovisa
Owner/Operator: Braxton Chatman
Contact Email: support@hellovisa.us
User Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account and use the Service. The Service is intended for users organizing their own immigration paperwork or assisting others with permission (for example, family members or authorized preparers).
If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms. You may not use the Service if you are barred from doing so under applicable law or if we have previously suspended or terminated your account for violation of these Terms.
Accounts and Responsibilities
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@hellovisa.us if you suspect unauthorized access.
You are responsible for maintaining access to your email address and device security features used with the Service. Do not share login credentials. Each person who needs access must use their own account.
User-Generated Content
You may upload documents, enter profile information, add notes, send messages in shared packets, and create other content in the Service (“User Content”). You retain ownership of User Content you upload.
You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, transmit, and display User Content solely to operate the Service (for example, storage, collaboration, form workflows, and case tracking you request). You represent that you have the rights needed to upload User Content and that your User Content does not violate law or third-party rights.
When you invite collaborators to a packet, you control what they can see through sharing settings. You are responsible for invitations you send and for content others add with your permission.
USCIS Case Tracking Features
The Service may allow you to submit USCIS receipt numbers and display case status information retrieved from USCIS systems through the USCIS Torch API. Status information is provided for convenience and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate.
USCIS official sources always control your case. We do not guarantee refresh timing, notification delivery, or accuracy of third-party or government data feeds. You should verify critical information through USCIS directly before taking action.
You may only submit receipt numbers you are authorized to track. Do not use the Service to scrape, resell, or redistribute USCIS case data.
Document Storage Features
The Service provides cloud storage for immigration-related documents, evidence folders, and packet organization. Storage limits, collaboration features, and availability may depend on your subscription plan and system capacity.
You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of documents you upload. Maintain your own backups of important records. While we use commercially reasonable safeguards, no system is perfectly secure. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle and delete stored data.
Your Responsibility for Immigration Filings
You are solely responsible for determining what to file, when to file, and what evidence to submit to USCIS or other agencies. The Service helps you organize materials; it does not replace review by a qualified immigration attorney or accredited representative where you choose to use one.
Autofill, form suggestions, case status displays, and in-app assistance may contain errors. You must review every field, attachment, and filing before submission. Official form editions and government instructions always govern.
No Legal Advice; No Attorney-Client Relationship
Hellovisa is a software tool operated by Braxton Chatman, not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice, legal opinions, or representation. Use of the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Braxton Chatman or any contractors assisting with the Service.
Information in the Service — including help text, autofill output, feed articles, and case status — is for general organizational purposes only. It is not a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney or accredited representative familiar with your situation. If you need legal advice, consult a qualified professional.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes
- Upload malware or attempt to disrupt, scrape, or reverse engineer the Service
- Access another user's account or data without permission
- Misrepresent your identity or immigration status through the Service
- Use the Service to provide unauthorized legal services to third parties
- Circumvent subscription, storage, or security limits
- Abuse USCIS APIs or use production API access in violation of USCIS Developer Portal terms
- Share API credentials or developer portal logins among individuals (each authorized user must have their own access)
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose risk to other users or the Service.
API and Third-Party Service Dependencies
The Service relies on third-party infrastructure and APIs, including Supabase (hosting and storage), Apple (app distribution and subscriptions), RevenueCat (subscription status), USCIS Torch APIs (case status), and push notification services. Outages, rate limits, policy changes, or discontinuation of these services may affect availability, accuracy, or features.
We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control. Your use of Apple billing is also subject to Apple's terms. USCIS data is subject to USCIS systems and policies.
Subscription Billing
Certain features require a paid subscription (“Plus” or similar plans) purchased through the Apple App Store. Prices, billing periods, and included features are shown in the app at the time of purchase and may change with notice where required by applicable law.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status and entitlements in the app. We do not store your full payment card details.
Auto-Renewable Subscriptions
If you purchase an auto-renewable subscription, your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
Any free trial, if offered, converts to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends. Unused trial time is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable under Apple's rules.
Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
Cancellation
You may cancel a subscription at any time through your Apple ID subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until that period ends unless otherwise stated in the app.
Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple according to App Store policies.
Termination and Suspension
You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account as described in Data Deletion and Account Closure.
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you violate these Terms, if required by law, if your account poses a security risk, or if we discontinue the Service. Where reasonable, we will provide notice before termination unless urgent safety or legal concerns require immediate action.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) will continue to apply.
Data Deletion and Account Closure
You may permanently delete your account and associated data:
- In the app — Profile → Delete account (confirm by typing DELETE).
- By email — contact support@hellovisa.us from your registered email with “Account deletion request” in the subject line.
After verification, we delete or de-identify personal information in active systems within 30 days, as described in our Privacy Policy. Backup purge may take up to an additional 90 days. Closing your account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription.
Intellectual Property
The Service, including software, design, trademarks, and content we provide, is owned by Braxton Chatman, operating as Hellovisa, or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal immigration organization purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service except as allowed by these Terms or applicable law. USCIS forms and government materials remain subject to their own terms and copyright notices.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that USCIS status information will be timely, complete, or accurate; that forms or autofill outputs are error-free; that the Service will be uninterrupted or secure; or that use of the Service will result in any immigration outcome. Official government information and instructions always control your filings.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BRAXTON CHATMAN, OPERATING AS HELLOVISA, AND HIS EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR IMMIGRATION OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.
Except where prohibited by applicable law, disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts. You may also have rights to bring claims in your local courts under consumer protection laws.
Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at support@hellovisa.us and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
Change Notifications
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
If we make material changes, we will notify you by email and/or through an in-app notice and provide a plain-language summary of what changed. Where required by law or for significant changes, we will ask for your active consent (for example, by requiring you to acknowledge the updated Terms) before you continue using the Service. If you do not agree, you may delete your account as described in Data Deletion and Account Closure.
Continued use after the effective date of non-material changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
