Adjustment of status (AOS) bundles many document types. Requirements change by category—always read the I-485 instructions for your edition date.
Core civil documents
- Birth certificates.
- Marriage certificate if applicable.
- Passport photos.
- I-94 arrival record if available.
Immigration history
- Prior approval notices.
- Copies of applications you filed before.
- Documentation of lawful entry if relevant to eligibility.
Medical examination
